The BFI is recruiting for a Philanthropy Coordinator

About the role

The BFI is seeking a Philanthropy Coordinator (Individual Giving) to join the BFI’s Philanthropy Team, providing essential and efficient administration support with a focus on individual giving.  

Key responsibilities

  • Provide key support as a member of the Philanthropy, Strategy and Campaigns (PSC) team, maintaining effective and efficient operative systems to underpin success in income generation 
  • Lead the day-to-day administration of the BFI’s giving schemes, including the Patrons Scheme and Auteurs Circle and additional giving opportunities including legacies, Name a Seat campaign and consortiums  
  • Support the Philanthropy Managers (Patrons and Schematic Giving) to ensure an excellent standard in all systematic responsibilities, including drafting and sending thank you letters; preparing welcome packs; ensure accurate compilation and recording of receipts, Gift Aid declarations and tax documentation 
  • Undertake administrative Raiser’s Edge tasks across individual fundraising, including: ensuring contact and relationship information is recorded correctly, consistently and according to best practice  

The BFI seeks candidates with: 

  • Minimum one year’s experience within a professional office environment  
  • Experience of using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system  
  • An interest in individual giving 
  • Demonstrable experience of persuasive writing skills, ideally with a view to recruiting donations 
  • Demonstrable experience of coordinating project and team administration
