Are you an experienced and passionate high end monetary donations fundraiser looking for a new challenge?
We are currently seeking a Philanthropy Manager to join the team at a very prestigious national charity trust in the Southampton area
As a Philanthropy Manager, you will play a crucial role in growing major gifts from high value private donors and membership schemes, working closely with the Head of Development to enhance the donor journey with our supporters.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to identify and engage prospective donors, cultivating relationships to the point where they are ready to be asked for a significant gift.
You will work closely with our prospect researcher to build an understanding of prospective donors and maximise gifting opportunities.
Additionally, you will help to develop prospecting groups, 'case testing' sessions, and other engagement events, coordinating fundraising approaches to donors and managing a portfolio of donors and prospects.
As a Philanthropy Manager, you will also be responsible for ensuring that we deliver first-class stewardship and relationship management, continually improving donor communications and the quality of experience for our supporters.
You will play a key role in ensuring that the fundraising database and financial reporting meets the needs of a national charity.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record in fundraising and relationship management, with excellent communication and organisational skills.
You will be a strategic thinker with the ability to engage and inspire donors.
Previous, proven experience of successful major donor fundraising and/or working with high net worth individuals is essential as is a poven track record of delivering income against agreed targets and timescales
