JOB SPECIFICATION


Photography Manager


JOB PURPOSE

To perform photography, videography, and other property marketing services to the highest of standards. You will be required to visit a range of properties to take photos and videos which will “wow” our clients and facilitate their sale. Each job will likely include measuring and sketching properties for floor plans, as well as other marketing services, such as, drone, EPCs, and 3d scans. You will be required to qualify as a Domestic Energy Assessor. We will try and keep this local to your home address and surrounding areas, however, there will be occasions when you do have to travel further afield.

To support the Photography Director, and facilitate creating an efficient, highly skilled, coordinated, and motivated team of Operators, through the provision of support, training, feedback and mentoring for the Operators.


We are looking for a candidate with experience in the property sector.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Visit properties to take photographs and videos, produce floor plan sketches and other property marketing materials (such as EPCs), in accordance with the Fourwalls Group standards and guidelines.
  • Upload your selection of photographs, floor plan sketches & other marketing activities to FastTrack/Hive/FTP the same day as the appointment.
  • Complete jobs to the highest standard as an example to other Operators, and to build relationships with new and existing/tricky clients.
  • Help supervise Regional Operators - the scope of this refers to day-to-day management and problem solving as well as completing periodic reviews and appraisals.
  • Review Regional Operator activities (original photos, videos, sketches etc), with a particular focus on quality, accuracy, and efficiency. Provide relevant constructive feedback accordingly.
  • Assist in upholding the in-house creative and photographic briefs as set by the Creative Director, Head of Quality Assurance and Photography Director. Provide relevant constructive feedback to Regional Operators as required, based on feedback from the Directors and Quality Control team, as well as personal review of original photographs.
  • Implement training/retraining and upskilling of Regional Operators where required.
  • Provide technical and logistical support to Regional Operators as required.
  • Assist the Photography Director in ensuring the productivity and efficiency of the Regional Operator network.
  • Build strong relationships with Regional Operators through regular one-to-one catchups (video calls or in person), as well as arranging more regular job-share meet ups.
  • Assist the Photography Director in setting up quarterly get togethers so the team can stay in touch, to help create a positive working environment, and to identify potential risks and opportunities accordingly.
  • With the assistance of senior members of the Photography Department, supervise relevant Social Media platforms (e.g. Instagram, WhatsApp) to foster a positive working environment and identify potential risks or opportunities accordingly.
  • Using telephone or digital communication, provide out of hours support to Regional Operators as required.
  • Liaise with the HR Director to effectively deal with any HR issues and oversee our compliance with health and safety laws within the department – assist in providing relevant training to support this, followed by training evaluation in line with company procedures.
  • Report Operator absences to HR and the Operations Team, and update BrightHR accordingly.
  • In conjunction with the Photography Director and the Operations Team, monitor, review and approve annual leave to allow for regional overlaps and prevent coverage shortfalls.
  • Monitor, review and approve Operator expenses prior to submission to the Finance Department.
  • Assist with the recruitment of new Regional Operators.
  • Assist the Photography Director in tailoring and maintaining a successful Operator Induction Plan.
  • Conduct new Operator training, arrange introductions to Regional Operators, and ensure the relationships you build remain ongoing between the new Operator, yourself, and the team.
  • On occasions, obtain photographic feedback from clients and follow through to ensure they are actioned. Update the Creative Team and Regional Operators with specific client requirements.
  • Identify sales opportunities liaising closely with the Account Managers.


SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES NEEDED

  • Outstanding customer service focus and experience of liaising with high-end clients.
  • Advanced photography skills with a focus on quality.
  • Preferably experience with videography.
  • Confident to provide accurate floor plan sketches.
  • A Domestic Energy Assessor qualification.
  • Good teamworking skills and the confidence to lead and motivate a team.
  • Confidence and organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and vendors.
  • Clean UK driving license.
