PHSE Teacher

Location: West Ashby, Lincolnshire
Salary: £24,586 - £39,187 depending on experience
Hours: Full time, Term time only

Seeking an PHSE Teacher with experience teaching 8–13-year-olds to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

Our exceptional client has an independent special school in Kings Lynn who are focused on providing a safe learning environment that benefits all learners with the skills for their future. We work with 8- to 16-year-olds with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs to offer them a safe and tailored learning environment.

As a PHSE Teacher within the school you will be providing professional learning and development for all pupils through establishing personalised learning routes across Key Stage 2, 3 and 4.
You will be playing your part in helping the school achieve its aims and values. You will be delivering an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students with support from teaching staff.

Key Duties:

  • To contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, having regard to the educational, physical and social needs of the students within a learning environment.
  • To work collaboratively with other members of staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • To maintain and use short-, medium- and long-term plans in delivering the curriculum.
  • To set, monitor and review personalised targets that will optimise learning for each individual.
  • To monitor, assess, review and report on the progress and work of students to parents, team members, senior staff, examination and funding bodies through reports and identified meetings as directed and as is required through school policies and procedures.
  • To maintain knowledge through training and research where appropriate and take responsibility for own professional development.
  • To develop lesson plans analysing and self-reflecting on the outcomes.

Experience /Qualifications:

  • Ideally QTS or QTLS however we will consider candidates with Level 4/5 teaching qualifications
  • Experience of teaching PHSE or related subjects
  • A passion for SEN / SEMH
