St Edward’s is seeking a dedicated Physics Technician to join our Science Department on a full-time, permanent basis.
Working alongside an existing Technician, you will provide crucial support to the Science Department in the preparation, delivery and tidying away of practical experiments. You will also be required to ensure the maintenance of laboratory equipment, manage stock levels, and maintain strict compliance with health and safety protocols.
The ideal candidate should be able to prioritise tasks and manage changing workloads effectively. They should be able to work well as part of a team and to show initiative when working independently. Proficiency in IT, including email and Excel, and a willingness to learn school-specific software is essential. Exceptional interpersonal skills will also be key to the role.
Experience of working in a scientific environment, or previous Technician experience, alongside a good understanding of Physics at A level is desirable.
