Physiotherapist

If you hold a UK Driving licence, this will be an advantage for being considered for this role if you live outside the immediate area. Whilst there are bus services from Reading to Tadley, they do not coincide with the start and end times of our shifts.

Location: Tadley, Hampshire, RG26 4QR
Salary: up to £40,950 per year (pro rata) + Benefits.
Hours:  37.5 hours per week.
Employment type: Full-time, Permanent.

We are on the lookout for a physiotherapist who is calm, patient, and resilient. You will need to have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support.
Furthermore, as a physiotherapist, you will be responsible for: 
  •  Providing holistic clinical and professional Physiotherapy to Heather House;
  • Undertaking physiotherapy assessments of young people with diverse and complex conditions providing delivery and evaluation of individualised person-centred Physiotherapy programmes;
  •  Supporting the wider team by providing expert clinical advice, training and support in the provision of therapy programmes
Role Criteria 
  • Qualification at degree level (or equivalent) in Physiotherapy;
  • Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC);
  • Current registration with professional body (eg:CSP);
  • Previous experience working in a similar setting, such as paediatrics, neurodevelopment or neuroscience;
  • Highly specialist knowledge and application of physiotherapy assessments and interventions using complex clinical reasoning;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously, whilst being an effective team player;
  • Evidence of CPD;
  • IT skills including email, Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Full UK driving licence (preferrable);
Ideally, we are looking for someone who can devote to 37.5 hours per week.

Who will you be supporting?
  • Heather House, SeeAbility, is a specialist nursing home for young people with complex neuro disabilities post education.   
  • We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking team player to fill our Physiotherapist post. 
  • An experienced physiotherapist with the ability to think outside the box, who can work independently or within a team, and brings experience from a variety of settings.
  • The successful candidate will support a small team of skilled and experienced physiotherapy assistants, providing staff training to the wider staff team, and clinical supervision to physiotherapy assistants.
  • We provide support to 15 young people, 10 ladies and 5 gentlemen who are determined to live life to the full. 
  • We have an on-site hydrotherapy pool, large physiotherapy gym with on site trampoline for rebound therapy.
