Job description

We have an exciting opportunity in Hywel Dda University Health Board, within the county of Ceredigion, for a Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join the Trauma and Orthopaedic Physiotherapy team in Bronglais General Hospital.
This exciting role will be supporting the physiotherapy team across our orthopaedic, surgical and elective wards within Bronglais General Hospital.
To apply, you should have a level 3 qualification or equivalent plus relevant experience working in a therapy department in a physical health care setting.
As 7 day services are developed, applicants must be prepared to work as part of a rota to cover 7 days.
You will have experience of using highly skilled handling techniques and be able to demonstrate clinical reasoning skills that enable you to assess and treat patients within protocols without immediate direct supervision.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and motivated individual who has the skills and ability to engage well with their patients, can work under supervision as well as independently, support innovation and training, and has the ability to work flexibly in a team. Relevant evidence of experience in patient care is desired.
You will work with other members of the team in the treatment of patients following scheduled or unscheduled care within the hospital. We are looking for a caring and friendly person who has the ability to interact with people in a mature and positive way.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
