Job description

Band 4 Senior Physiotherapy Assistant from 1st April 2024.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Louth and Skegness outpatient physiotherapy team.
Have you got people skills, motivation and a desire to help people reach their maximum physical potential? Do you have a background in rehabilitation, sport or the caring professions, or have a passion to learn and grow a career in health care?
If so we can support and develop you to work as part of the physio team . The successful candidate will work with their own selected caseload getting the opportunity to work alongside our Senior physiotherapists to deliver outpatient rehabilitation to patients with a variety of musculoskeletal, post op orthopaedic conditions, and amputee patients.
Qualifications
Previous experience working within an outpatients setting as a therapy assistant, or working in a health care setting, patients support or exercise environment is desirable
A Band 3-4 transitional post will be considered for those with less experience, with the aim to progress to Band 4 following completion of on the job competencies and/or completion of the required qualifications
Duties will include:
To help cover a wide range of duties across the outpatient department
Undertaking highly skilled support work to aid the rehabilitation of patients
To accept patients referred by the physiotherapist and carry as own patient caseload.
To use clinical judgment and freedom, within the scope of practice, and be able to work independently and flexibly without direct supervision but to receive access to regular supervision from a physiotherapist.
Treat outpatient patients according to set treatment protocols, monitoring progression and make minor alterations as required.
To be responsible for the management of delegated case load of patients maintaining appropriate records.
To contribute to providing a professional service, working effectively as an integral team member.
The post will be full time (37.5 hours a week) and may be required to work as part of a 7 day service.
