The physiotherapy service is looking for we are looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated individual to work within our Physiotherapy Departmental Administrative team. We are a department that treats a range of service users across both in patient and outpatient settings within Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
The Physiotherapy Departmental administrative team is a small but friendly team, that is dedicated towards the delivery of an excellent service for all our users, as well as constantly striving to develop our services.
The administrative team support the department with a wide range of functions, including supporting the undergraduate student placement programme, running continuing professional development courses, recruitment, and administration of on-call, bank and weekend staff claims. In addition you will be required to undertake office administrative roles e.g. Minute taking. You will have line managerial responsibility of the Physiotherapy Departmental Adminstrative Assistant.
Main duties of the job
- To provide a professional, effective and efficient Administration service to the physiotherapy department and to all its users including patients, services, relatives and colleagues.
- Responsible for recording and maintenance of weekend, on-call and staff bank payments through MAPS.
- Line managing.
- Co-ordination of student placements.
- Administration of study leave.
- Assisting PA with recruitment administration
- Procurement of a range of clinical and non-clinical supplies.
- Organising meetings for the managers.
- Administration of conferences and courses.

Person specification
Qualifications
- Educated to A level or NVQ level 3 Customer Service/ Business Admin /ITQ or equivalent Typing qualification or equivalent experience
- Secretary qualification or equivalent
Experience
- Experience of working in a busy clerical/office environment or reception service
- Secretarial and /or administrative experience including minute taking
- Prioritising, planning and organising own tasks
- Working within guidelines
- Experience of dealing with difficult situations and confrontations
- Data entry experience and documentation
- Experience of IT packages – Microsoft Office
- Experience of producing documents to a high standard
- Previous experience of working in the NHS
- Experience of supervising staff
