Job description

The salary for this role is £11,064.24 per annum for working 12 hours per week, 33 weeks per year (396 hours per year). Further details below for vacancies in each area. Please be aware that though the advertised working hours are correct at present, these are subject to change each term.

This is a peripatetic role where teaching takes place during the school day, after school and at the weekend, at various?schools and music centres in Surrey.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a?Piano Teacher?to join our talented team of experienced and committed teaching staff. Across 33 weeks of the academic year, you will deliver?high quality and innovative music education?to children and adults at various schools and venues around the county.

In this role, you will be supported by a team of Administrators and an Area Manager to organise your schedule and timetables. You will also be provided with annual paid CPD and training opportunities.

We currently have the following?positions available:

  1. North Surrey area - 12hpw, to include Tuesday evening in Molesey, and teaching in Camberley/Surrey Heath area. Saturday morning availability would be beneficial.
  2. East Surrey Area - 12hpw, in Caterham and Redhill (including 2 after school sessions at music centre) Additional Saturday morning hours in Oxted are also available.

  2. What experiences do you have working with children and young people in school, youth, or community settings in the UK??
  3. What experience do you have of managing teaching and learning in small and large group instrumental lessons??
  4. Have you had any experience teaching students with additional learning needs? If yes, please give an example of how you ensured this student's learning experience gave them the best opportunities to reach their potential. (Please keep this example anonymous).?

An enhanced DBS 'Disclosure and Barring Service' check for regulated activity (formerly known as CRB) and the Children's Barred List checks will be required for this role.
