Worldwide FX UK is looking for a Pipeline TD to join our team and work closely with the artist, developing tools and workflow automations for Film, Episodic and Advertising
Although we are currently working remotely, this position would occasionally require working on site at our London studio once it is deemed safe to do so.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain a ShotGrid (Shotgun) pipeline ecosystem
- Support artists in using pipeline tools
- Explore and work on a variety of applications and technologies across the entire visual effects pipeline and software development workflows
- Conduct ongoing research and recommend workflows that will improve efficiency
- Maintaining of tools including troubleshooting and optimisation
- Thorough documentation of all development and updating as necessary
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Detail oriented with a strong ability to multitask
- Problem solving abilities
- The ability to prioritise production needs and tasks
- Experience in VFX production pipeline environment
- Python experience (3+ years)
- Experience with Maya and Nuke (3+ years)
- A good understanding of the entire visual effects process, from shooting through to compositing
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Katana, Houdini applications and API
- Universal Scene Description experiences
- ShotGrid (Shotgun) ecosystem and API
- GitLabs CI/CD, Docker
- Building software from source
- Good problem solving skills
- Visual effects production experience
- Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
