An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Education and Childcare Department for a Placement Coordinator based at our Blossomfield Campus. As primary contact for our employer partners it is essential that you are professional in your approach and represent the college to the best of your ability. You should be self-motivated and have excellent communication and organisational skills.
You will be responsible for co-ordination of the work placements for Education and Childcare students and will establish and maintain links with employers. You will ensure that minimum placement hours are planned to meet the requirements for each programme of study and ensure that health and safety requirements are met. You will also allocate placement officers and assessors with the appropriate number of students and provide them with the necessary support and development.
Extensive industry experience in the sector is essential. Ideally this would include experience as an assessor in the workplace, and a Level 3 Assessors Award would be highly desirable.
The working pattern for this post is 5.5 hours a day. Potential start date 8th April 2024.
Please note if you are selected for the next stage in the process, you will be required to attend the College’s premises, unless exceptional circumstances apply. Unfortunately, the College is unable to contribute towards the associated travel costs.
Solihull College & University Centre is committed to ensuring a safe environment for all students and expects all staff to engage fully with this commitment.
