Title: Planned Maintenance Accountant (Maintenance Finance)

Contract Type: Permanent - Full time 35 Hours Per Week

Location: Stratford, London, E15 4PH or Sale, Manchester, M33 6AG

Persona: Agile - Office based 20-40% 
Salary: Upto £52,000 depending on experience and location

The Finance department at L&Q have an exciting role for a Planned Maintenance Accountant, sharing responsibility for the provision of management accounting service across a £2bn business plan and applying commercial approaches to the delivery of our charitable objectives.

Responsibilities of the Planned Maintenance Accountant include:

·       Collaborate, build relationships and influence a variety of business partners - including senior decision makers; Collaborate and build relationships with a variety of business partners - including senior decision makers

·       Implementation of consolidated management and financial reports

·       Supervise year end accounting processes to deliver a financial framework which leads to seamless Group reporting

·       Develop the financial information that we provide to business partners – supporting improved operational decision making

·       Lead finance projects including: financial accounting reviews, system improvements, cost driver analysis, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and resource allocation reviews

·       Develop an excellent knowledge of the business area; working with business partners and managers to set priorities for financial analysis and service improvement with a particular focus on financial control.

·       Be a fully qualified (CCAB) accountant with strong academic record

·       Experience of management or financial accounting in a complex organisation

·       Commercial, audit, and public sector experience welcome

·       Have excellent technical accounting knowledge and an understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP

·       Be an excellent communicator; with the ability to influence senior decision makers

·       Have a proven track record delivering complex projects

·       Have excellent computer, financial systems and analytical skills including advance Excel, and financial reporting tools.
