Group/Division
SPTS wafer processing solutions include market-leading silicon etch, dielectric etch, dry-release etch, PVD, PECVD and molecular vapor deposition (MVD®), available with a range of wafer-handling options applicable to R&D, pilot production, or volume production environments. SPTS is headquartered and has its main manufacturing facility in Newport, UK, with additional manufacturing in Allentown, Pennsylvania. SPTS operates across 19 countries in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, and offers comprehensive service and spare parts support through a worldwide network of service centers and qualified local agents.
Job Description
Business Unit
We are responsible for the design, development, and manufacturing of high-tech capital equipment for the semiconductor and related global markets. Our Material Control team supports our Departments by ensuring materials, supplies and equipment are delivered to the shop floor and spares department in a timely manner.
Purpose of the role
This role represents an excellent opportunity for a Material Controller who is looking to gain experience in a fast-growing, award-winning, global semiconductor company. Working alongside our existing Material Control team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing the control of parts to Manufacturing and spares and service department in the business as their primary role.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:
  • Controlling the movement of stock to Manufacturing and the spares and service side of the business, in a timely manner
  • Working closely with the procurement department and other business units to find resolutions to material issues
  • Presenting reports to management on KPI’s
  • Support the Planning department depending on business needs
  • Developing and understanding key SPTS planning processes

  • Experience with SAP is desirable but not essential
  • Can demonstrate excellent problem solving and trouble-shooting abilities
  • Has excellent written and presentational skills, with the ability to clearly communicate at all levels

  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail
  • Is organised and able to prioritise their own workload
  • Demonstrates strong IT skills across all Microsoft Office Packages
