About the Role
Planning Assistant - Warwick (hybrid working)
As our Planning Assistant, you will proactively support the production and management of the optimisation and build of the plan, across all substation and OHL works. The role will also proactively coordinate the production and control of construction scheme work order and project data to allow NGET (National Grid Electricity Transmission) Operations staff to accurately record costs and provide accurate data to support our regulatory outputs.
You will also be required to understand the planning process, commercial & regulatory frameworks and work management systems to provide a strong level of support and assurance on the management of data and documents.
Whay you'll be getting up to
- Support the delivery of critical works through efficient data management, proactive audit and communication with key stakeholders.
- Accurate data quality checks and project costing
- Support preparation of performance KPI information
- Lead on Scheme work order creation and account allocation
- Provide ones off reporting as required to support Regulatory Reporting
- Coordinate data updates and gathering for modelling on financial/regulatory requirements
- Creation and adjustment of work within work management systems ensuring alignment and accuracy.
- Support activities which develop, monitor and manage portfolios, ensuring the implementation of any outputs from activities are executed using a variety of planning tools and databases.
- Lead work pack creation in line with the work development of the portfolio of work, using data provided through core work systems and driven through insights and analytics, and ensuring all changes are enacted properly.
- Custodian of data in all planning tools and systems, ensuring data is accurate by actively checking the integrity and where any discrepancies are found the data is corrected in a robust and efficient manner, to establish that the data quality standards are maintained
About You
- Experience and understanding of all planning systems and delivering outputs to tight timescales whilst maintaining accuracy
- Knowledge of asset data coding conventions for transmission system equipment
- Detailed experience in working with core planning processes and methods
- Familiarity with MS excel, MS access and the Portfolio Planning system
- Experience in data trending and analysis of performance
- An appetite for continuous improvement in relation to both their own development
- Good stakeholder management skills both internal and external to the organisation
