First Task are delighted to be working with one of Scotland's most respected Civil Engineering contractors to recruit a Planner for their office in Glasgow. With an enviable pipeline of work ranging from rail, public realm, roads, flood alleviation and substations projects up to the value 40m, they are looking to expand their team of three to meet existing demands over the coming years. Ideally you will have site experience and have some previous exposure to planning small or medium sized projects.
The main duties will focus around identifying planning scope, major constraints and contract requirements and any other major factors that will affect programme. You will learn how to produce tender programmes, bringing together relevant subcontract plant/labour and major materials elements to identify and resolve issues with your supply chain and site teams.
We are keen to hear from candidates who are methodical in their approach to planning, programming and progress monitoring, with a strong understanding of various forms of contracts and how various outcomes can be used to demonstrate, delay or change entitlement.
In house training will be provided for using planning software but it would be beneficial if you have some working knowledge of Primavera P6.
