Planning & Highways Lawyer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Planning & Highways Lawyer to join this Local Authority based in Newcastle Upon Tyne on a Locum basis. As a Planning & Highways Lawyer, you will be responsible for drafting and negotiating planning agreements under section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and highway agreements under section 278 of the Highways Act 1980.

• Drafting and negotiating planning agreements under section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990
• Drafting and negotiating highway agreements under section 278 of the Highways Act 1980
• Advising on planning matters and dealing with planning enforcement
• Providing highways and traffic regulation order advice
• Ability to advise officers

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years' experience in planning and highways law
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Ability to advise on planning matters and deal with planning enforcement
• Knowledge of highways and traffic regulation order advice

• Competitive rate

• Locum 3 month on going contract
