Role Overview:
As a Planning Manager with a bespoke Consultancy client of ours, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring effective project planning and delivery for a tier 1 contractor-based construction programme. You’ll be responsible for managing a team of planners, reviewing their programmes, and collaborating with project managers, design leads, and functional heads. Your expertise in the NEC3 contract framework and proficiency in Primavera P6 will be essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of planners, ensuring high-quality project schedules and adherence to best practices.
- Program Review: Review and analyse project programmes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring alignment with contractual requirements.
- Collaboration: Liaise with project managers, design leads, and functional heads to facilitate seamless project execution.
- NEC Expertise: Apply your knowledge of the NEC contract framework, including change management, to project planning and execution.
- Contractual Considerations: Read and understand contracts to ensure that planning activities align with contractual obligations.
- Primavera P6: Utilise your expertise as an advanced user of Primavera P6 for effective project scheduling.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing a team of Planning professionals and reviewing programmes.
- Strong understanding of NEC3 contract management and change control processes.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6.
Salary: £70,000 to £80,000 per annum (depending on experience) + travel + benefits
