Planning Manager

Our client specialises within the food manufacturing & distribution sector and is headquartered in the Wednesbury area. As the Planning Manager, you will lead a team in creating production plans, forecasts, schedules, places material/vehicle orders across multiple sites and organising other resources that are needed to meet both customer and business targets.
Benefits:

• Salary - £40,000 to £45,000 per annum DOE
• Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm - 40 Hours per week

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead a team to create production plans, forecasts and schedules.
• Manage, train and develop planning team requirements between multiple sites.
• Achieve KPI's in relation to customer service, reducing waste and planning of operational resources.
• Plan, structure and organise the workload of the planning team.
• Oversee and manage team KPI's.
• Ensure daily and weekly plans are communicated to the team.
• Maintain planning systems for new products.
• Ensure business operational forecasts are issued.
• Keep up to date stock records across all Oils and Fat SKU's
• Working in collaboration with the Buying Team and the Commercial team to ensure a robust rolling forecast in used.
• Monthly travel required to the clients site in Liverpool.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in production planning, preferably in the food environment and capacity planning.

• Experience on IT systems, mainly MS Excel and ERP system.
• Commercial mindset.
• Ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Experience in managing absence, performance, and conduct issues.
• Ability to work under pressure.
