This position offers a significant opportunity for individuals to garner valuable experience in the early stages of their legal career, with the promising potential for it to progress into a Training Contract focused on a future as a Planning solicitor.
Responsibilities:
- Assist team members in individual transactions and broader project work within our Planning Team.
- Handle diverse tasks related to planning work, including planning applications, appeals, regeneration projects, and section 106 agreements.
- Conduct research on legal points for ongoing matters, keeping the team informed about legal developments.
- Collate documents for larger matters and provide administrative support to the team.
- Participate in ad hoc projects, both small and large, with support from other team members.
The ideal candidate:
- Legal degree or legal training preferred; at least six months' paralegal experience, especially in property or planning, is desirable.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills are essential.
- Requires self-motivation, initiative, drive, and strong organizational skills to meet demanding deadlines.
- Team player who enjoys assisting others and takes pride in their work.
- Ability to provide first-class support to lawyers and clients, anticipating needs and paying meticulous attention to detail.
