Plant Administrator – Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone

Would you like to join one of the UK's Best Big Companies as awarded by Best Companies? Murphy is currently recruiting for a Plant Administrator to join our award-winning Energy team on the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone project in Norwich. Our team is known for its extensive in-house expertise and continual drive to innovate within the industry. The Plant Administrator to support the business through the provision of high quality general Administrative support.

The Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone project is one of national significance, part of the UK government’s target of net zero carbon emissions by 2050. The project is located over 60km in Norfolk, from Happisburgh to Necton, with installation of approx. 360km of power cables and over 5km of horizontal direction drilling. The project spans from 2023 to 2028, providing a fantastic, once in a generational opportunity for the successful candidate to build and progress their career.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide high quality customer service in all communications with internal and external clients.
  • Maintain accurate paper and computer-based records.
  • Produce correspondence, documents and presentations to specification using a variety of media.
  • Maintain established paper and computer-based filing systems.
  • Conduct financial duties, for example, processing invoices or tracking costs.
  • Work in accordance with established processes and provide feedback on their effectiveness.
  • Participate in, and positively promote, the Murphy Culture Development Culture (leading to Zero Harm)
  • Gain knowledge and experience in all Murphy Plant disciplines
  • Attend all assigned training courses.
  • When required work in all Murphy Plant departments
  • Greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

Who we are looking for:

  • Experience of working in a Plant / General administration support role.
  • Knowledge of operating office equipment and IT, e.g., telephone, computer with standard software, copier, printers etc., to access, input and verify information.
  • Literate and Numerate with proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office applications.
  • Experience within the construction industry is desirable, but not essential.
