Monday to Friday 08:30am -17:30pm

Our Client we are looking for a Assistant Plant Controller at our state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Rugby Warwickshire .

We are seeking a temporary Assistant Plant Controller who will support the Plant Controller with plant accounting activity including general and cost accounting and ensure the plant’s financial control processes and systems comply with company policies.

The Assistant Plant Controller assists with monitoring plant operation results against operating plans, preparation of financial production output, and other information used to measure and control plant activities and costs.

What you’ll do:

• Inventory accounting and reconciliation

• Manufacturing variance analysis, PPV, usage, yield etc.

• Unrecognized profit in inventory accounting

• Cost of Sales analysis • Capital spending tracking, analysis and forecasting

• Budgeting • Standard Costing

• Ad hoc analysis

• Continuous improvement of accounting policies and practices; The role preferably requires a Part or Newly Qualified Accountant with a plant/cost accounting background

• Excellent communication skills are required both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels

• Able to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, meet deadlines required, flexible and stay organized

• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced setting

• Must have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and preferably experience of preparing and presenting PowerPoint presentations
