Plant, Fleet & Logistics Assistant

IBP are currently recruting for a Plant, Fleet and Logistics Assisatnt. The first part of your role will be working closely alongside our Transport Team to ensure all vehicles are kept in a safe, roadworthy and legal condition, to maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies and rules. The role will also involve oversight and tracking of vehicles, as well as the various assets and other equipment used.

The second half of the role rolewill involve Stock Control, Goods Inward / Outwards, Serving inhouse operatives as well as our wide range of sub-contractors, General warehouse housekeeping indoors / outdoors. We are currently updating all systems with hand heldtechnology so is an ideal time to join. 

The main duties include the responsibility for the following:

• Monitoring vehicle audits and challenging non-compliance.
• Effective tracking of vehicle based assets.
• Plant inspections. (Electrical & ladder inspections - Training provided)
• Frequent travel to depots in the South West
• General office duties.
• Stock Picking / Control
• Goods Inwards / Outwards
• Vehicle Cleaning
• Yard Duties
• Adhoc Duties

The ideal candidate for this role should have the following skills & qualifications:

• Full Manual Driving Licence required.
• Willing to travel to complete training and other tasks
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
• Self-motivated and thrives in a busy working environment.
• Able to work unsupervised when required.
• Strong IT skills, including MS Office (Particularly MS Excel).
• Excellent administration skills, with a ‘quick to learn’ ability.
