Job description
Based in Silverwood, Lurgan the primary role will involve the completion of maintenance, refurbishment,construction and scrapping of all equipment returned to the Plant Workshop.The maintenance and refurbishment covers a wide range of switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, voltageregulators and sectionalizes on equipment operating at voltages between 230 volts - 33,000 Volts.Carry out initial investigation on faulted plant returned to the workshop in conjunction with Asset Management /Network engineers.Construction will include the assembly of plant to specific requirements of the business for 11 and 33kV packagesubstations to include Ring Main Units, Transformers, LV cabinets etc.Other work activities will include, oil testing, battery maintenance, processing of SF6 gas and operation of the SF6gas cart, steelwork assembly / manufacture, calibration, maintenance & issue of tools and equipment and provisionof generators during working hours and out of hours on a standby rota..
