Mission
Ensure that all injection moulding means (tools and auxiliaries) are kept in a functional and safe condition by dealing with predictive, preventative and curative maintenance, working to EHS requirements accordingly.
Activities
- Plan and carry out preventive maintenance of machinery, systems and utility services
- Repair efficiently injection mould line and auxiliaries during downtime
- Supervise external companies doing contract maintenance and repair
- Seek constant reduction of unscheduled machinery and equipment downtime
- Participate in continuous improvement processes and activities
- Keep maintenance documentation available and updated
- Keep and document stocks of necessary spare parts for injection moulding
- Support level 1 maintenance training
- Responsible for cleanliness and tidiness of his/her work area
Knowledge & Qualifications
- HNC in Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent)
- Technician certification with a specialty in several of the following fields-
- Mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics (or equivalent)
- Demonstrate ability of maintaining injection ancillary equipment (Thermal regulators, hot runners etc)
- Demonstrate ability of maintaining/programming pick and place robts (Fanuc preferred)
- Demonstrate aiblity of working on IMM's (Engle preferred)
- Committed to continuous development of own skills and knowledge, and to undertake training relevant to the role
- Robotics and application processes.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role (essential)
- Experience working within Manufacturing (essential) Experience within automotive (desirable)
