Mission

Ensure that all injection moulding means (tools and auxiliaries) are kept in a functional and safe condition by dealing with predictive, preventative and curative maintenance, working to EHS requirements accordingly.


Activities

  • Plan and carry out preventive maintenance of machinery, systems and utility services
  • Repair efficiently injection mould line and auxiliaries during downtime
  • Supervise external companies doing contract maintenance and repair
  • Seek constant reduction of unscheduled machinery and equipment downtime
  • Participate in continuous improvement processes and activities
  • Keep maintenance documentation available and updated
  • Keep and document stocks of necessary spare parts for injection moulding
  • Support level 1 maintenance training
  • Responsible for cleanliness and tidiness of his/her work area

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • HNC in Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Technician certification with a specialty in several of the following fields-
  • Mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrate ability of maintaining injection ancillary equipment (Thermal regulators, hot runners etc)
  • Demonstrate ability of maintaining/programming pick and place robts (Fanuc preferred)
  • Demonstrate aiblity of working on IMM's (Engle preferred)
  • Committed to continuous development of own skills and knowledge, and to undertake training relevant to the role
  • Robotics and application processes.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role (essential)
  • Experience working within Manufacturing (essential)
  • Experience within automotive (desirable)
