We have a fantastic opportunity for a Plant Manager working with a leading UK construction manufacturer with a large network of sites across the country, at its Eastbourne concrete plant which has recently undergone a 6-figure capex investment.
The Plant Manager position is a varied role, where you will be responsible for the running of all aspects of the facility in a construction production environment, ensuring H&S is prioritised, whilst ensuring the production needs of our customers are met.

Prior experience in this field is not essential, however, some construction experience is desirable.

Key Plant Manager responsibilities:
- Responsible for the accurate production of Readymix products
- Promoting and complying with, Company Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times
- Completing weekly and monthly stock checks and reporting defects
- Controlling drivers, visitors, collect and cash customers coming onto site, ensuring that site rules are complied with
- Working with management and contractors to control and organise plant maintenance as required
- Enforcing environmental policies and procedures (14001)
- General housekeeping and site improvements, updating and monitoring records
Essential Qualifications and Experience for Plant Manager:
- Self-motivated, responsible, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers and suppliers
- Commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental standards
- Flexible and positive attitude to working times in line with business requirements is essential.
- An understanding and working knowledge of batching systems is desirable
- Full driving license essential including FLS desirable.
