Plant Technician

We are excited to be working with a world wide Engineering company who are looking for an experienced Plant Technician to support on a manufacturing company based in Fife.

Within this role, you will be expected to provide a competent standard of rotating and static equipment Lubrication services through various techniques. You should have a good electro/ mechanical background and the ability to communicate and guide customer appropriately and professionally. You will be self-disciplined, meticulous and to carry out specific site management duties as defined by the Scotland Operations Manager.

Role

• Ability to carry out lubrication activities such as oiling, greasing, oil changes and collecting oil samples in a timely manner.
• Reporting: after training, the Lubrication Technician will update the clients CMMS system of what has been performed and also perform a basic first pass analysis and identification of any faults that are a potential threat to client's reliability program is identified and reported.
• Deliver specific asset management services to improve client's equipment availability & reliability as directed by Scotland Operations Manager
• Assist in compiling, managing and follow Method Statements, COSHH Assessments, Risk Assessments and SOPs in place, inform Management if documentation is incorrect or missing and report any HSEQ issues.
• Demonstrate to the client that a high level of service is being always delivered in a professional manner.
• Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained in a serviceable condition and within the calibration QAP control procedure

Person

• Qualification within Engineering - HNC/HND/ Time served
• Good working knowledge of mechanical systems and manufacturing machinery
• Experience of lubrication management or performing lubrication activities - Oil changes, sampling and greasing
• Strong customer service skills, effective communicator and ability to work on your own initiative
