Platform SME - SC Cleared

Platform SME required for a 3-month initial contract, umbrella only. Please note to be considered for this role candidates must have active SC Clearance, used within the last 12-months.
This role requires 4 - 5 days onsite in either Warwick, Farnborough and/or Corsham.

We're looking for a highly Skilled Platform Subject Matter Expert (SME) to understand low level designs, create and implement build scripts, conduct testing and validation for a on-premises VMware infrastructure. You will collaborate and guide architects and clients to outline best practise to deliver Windows and Red Hat Linux virtual machines as code.
The following technology will be used to automate infrastructure as code;

• Terraform
• Ansible
• PowerShell DSC.

Skills Required:

• Proficient in writing, deploying and troubleshooting Terraform Configuration files,
• Proficient in writing, deploying and troubleshooting Ansible Playbooks/YAML files,
• Proficient in writing, deploying and troubleshooting PowerShell DSC MOFs and PowerShell Scripts
• Understanding of Integration with VMware platform
• Experience with version control system such as Git

It would a distinct advantage if you had:

• Knowledge and some skill with other configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt Stack
