Victoria Drive is a warm, welcoming and inclusive Primary Pupil Referral Unit that prides itself on the highly effective working partnership with Wandsworth Primary Schools. It provides expert teaching and support to pupils who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMHD). The core objective of the work is to sustain very low levels of exclusion by promoting the inclusion of pupils and strengthening schools’ capacity to respond to pupils’ needs.


We are looking for a Play Therapist to be a key member of the school team, as play is highly valued by the team and embedded in pupil pathways. We believe for our children to achieve academically they must also have their social and emotional needs met. We are looking for a dynamic, flexible and self-motivated individual to fill our post. Experience of working with pupils with SEMH needs in a SEMH setting will be an advantage.


The role will be a mixture of 1:1 sessions and small group work at the PRU and in mainstream schools. The role will include: administration tasks, planning sessions, planning training for staff and report writing for outside agencies and school reports.
