Play Worker (After School Club) (2 Posts)

The Headteacher and Governing Body are looking for enthusiastic, efficient, flexible and friendly persons to join our team as Play Workersfor our After School Club based at Wessington PrimarySchool. 

We are looking to appoint as soon as possible.

The club caters for children from Nursery to 11 years of age, providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment.

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 3.30pm - 6.00pm

The persons appointed will be responsible for organising structured play activities, including sporting activities, both inside and outside, preparing a light snack and cleaning up after the session.

Applicants must have a desire to work as a team, a passion for helping children to learn and a willingness to learn themselves.  We offer a positive and thriving school environment, well-behaved children, a great team of staff and a commitment to continuing professional development.

The applicants should have experience of working with children and hold a childcare qualification (NVQ or equivalent).

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
