Job description
The Playgroup Leader is responsible for the support and supervision of staff on a day-to-day basis. In consultation with the staff at meetings, the Playgroup Leader should ensure that planning and preparation is carried out and that the activities offered throughout the session allow the children to experience and cover all the four areas covered in the curriculum and consideration given to cultural backgrounds/special needs and that they are given the opportunity to play with natural materials. The Playgroup Leader should identify children showing signs of health-related problems and bring them to coordinator and parent /guardian’s attention. Where necessary relevant professional support should be sought. It is also the responsibility of the leader to manage liaison with parents and other relevant bodies to assist children with individual learning. .

Level 5 Children's care learning and development or equivalent.Paid experience working in an early years setting and experience in leadership and management.Able to communicate to a high standard in written and oral format. , Holds current first aid certificate, child protection and food hygiene certificates.Understanding of children's development and early years curriculums.
