Playgroup Leader / Manager

The Playgroup Leader in collaboration with two deputy leaders will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the four daily playgroup sessions (two in the morning and two in the afternoon). The play-group Leader will provide for the needs of the children in a safe and stimulating environment. This will involve planning, preparing and delivering play-based activities appropriate for Pre-school children. Qualifications/Experience: A qualification at QCF Level 5 Diploma in Child Care, Learning and Development of Play work; or a relevant occupational qualification in early years education, social work, nursing, teaching, or health visiting. Two years’ previous paid experience (in the last five years) leading and managing staff including appraisals in an early years setting with Pre-school children, experience of ETI inspection, experience of developing long, medium, and short-term planning for an early years setting and experience of observations and planning.
