PLC Automation Engineer

About the role:

You will be part of our Engineering Team working a day shift with flexibility to cover / due to the nature of projects. This role comes with responsibility for the PLC programming with front-end SCADA development for the site, to include:

  • Development of PLC code in line with ISO procedures and defined standards.
  • Developing and managing GAMP documentation e.g. URS, FDS, DDS, FAT, SAT, IOPQ.
  • Liaising with the team on implementation of SCADA software.
  • Using PLC programming software for Schneider, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Motorola PLCs/RTUs.
  • Training of clients on the use of application once implemented.
  • Maintaining a consistent quality throughout all projects, working to set deadlines.
  • Maintaining projects once implemented and general housekeeping of all PLC development projects.
  • This role will also include supporting day-to-day breakdowns and electrical repairs on site.

About you:

You will have an Electrical/Electronic Engineering qualification, to at least HND/HNC level and experience of code writing for Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC s, as well as industrial controls system design.

A working knowledge of process and engineering is required, as well as a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team to create effective working relationships.
