Multi-Trade Operative/ Plumber
Working pattern: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Hours: 40 per week
Salary: £30,000-£36,000 kpa + benefits
Location: North West London-based
Join a small maintenance team responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance, responsive repairs and void works connected with the housing stock.
You will be responsible for:
- Carrying out repairs as directed by the Maintenance Manager, such as fixing leaks, replacing toilet seats, shower heads, unblocking waste traps, gutters, and rainwater pipes.
- Maintaining plumbing systems, including replacing washers and mending broken pipes.
- Handling bathroom and kitchen replacements.
- Performing general painting, decorating, and carpentry repairs.
- Providing locksmith services.
- Repairing UPVC windows and doors.
- Conducting wet trades like plastering and pointing.
- Managing job tickets, material orders, and vehicle reports.
- Ensuring safe tool and plant usage and reporting faults.
- Complying with company policies, procedures, and Health and Safety regulations.
- Assessing risks and reporting incidents.
- Maintaining a positive image with residents by wearing corporate uniform and delivering quality workmanship.
- Meeting appointments and completing work efficiently.
- Being flexible with workload and tasks as needed.
- Inspecting work quality before leaving residents' homes.
- Performing any other reasonably expected duties.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience in building, maintenance, or repairs.
- City and Guilds qualification up to NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
- Previous experience in housing or maintenance environments.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively.
- Initiative to work independently and collaboratively.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Full UK driving license.
