The Role
Working in sites around the North West and Midlands, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of services by delivering planned and reactive maintenance to an agreed programme, budget, and quality within the company’s operational targets.
Your duties will include:
- Carrying out planned installation and maintenance including plant rooms, schools, offices and hospitals.
- Assisting sub-contractors where necessary, monitoring repairs, or providing assistance where required.
- Inspections, troubleshooting and repairs to mechanical plant
- Installation of plant and components such as, boilers, pumps, valves etc.
- Installation pipework to include safe isolation of systems repairs and modification.
- To carry out repairs within communal areas to radiators, valves, and pipework.
- To have knowledge of communal ventilation systems and ability to carry out the necessary maintenance and repair of these systems.
- To have knowledge of cold-water booster systems, operation, and repair.
Our Requirements
- In date CSCS card, NVQ L2 & L3 in heating and ventilation OR L2 & L3 in plumbing.
- Commercial gas qualified preferred.
- Experience as a suitably qualified Mechanical Engineer working in commercial and domestic premises.
- Plumbing and pipework skills, copper, steel including pipe threading and mechanical pressing where required.
- Understanding of heating, hot water and ventilation systems.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Superb attention to detail, with drive to succeed and work well in a fast-paced environment
- A full UK driving licence
Although not essential, domestic gas, IPAF, PASMA, Unvented & Vented (G3), and Water Regs qualifications would be advantageous.
The Package
- Pay rate up to £19 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
- Permanent contract, working Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm - paid 42.5 hours per week
