Job overview Plumber / Heating Engineer (Mechanical Craftsperson) – Suffolk Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) are looking for a skilled Plumber/Heating Engineer to join our existing multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team in providing a safe environment for all service users, staff and visitors across our Suffolk sites being based at The Hollies, Ipswich. We pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing their experiences and learning from each other. The ideal candidate would be a Gas Safe Registered engineer, however this is not essential as we will support and provide relevant training for the right person. Main duties of the job The work relates to both domestic and specialist commercial aspects of plumbing, hot and cold water systems, ventilation & Heating systems and natural gas systems. The successful candidate would be flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident in being part of a team that provides a comprehensive maintenance service in a unique and varied environment. Duties & Responsibilities Associated with this role: * To provide a comprehensive service to include all aspects of planned and routine maintenance and servicing * To repair and maintain a wide range of mechanical services and equipment on site * Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health and Safety and other relevant legislation * Fault finding and diagnosis * Routine inspections to ensure our estate is safe and fully compliant * Be prepared to participate as a member of the On-Call Team providing an emergency out of hours service on a rotational basis Working for your organisation Benefits included with this role are:- * A company vehicle will be provided to use during working hours * Tools and equipment * Department uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) * Recruitment & Retention Premia (RRP) of £3,276.96 pro rata applies * NHS pension * a comprehensive training programme * career progression * starting annual leave of 27 days per annum increasing to 33 days pa on length of service (plus paid bank holidays) * staff physio service * Health Service discounts and many more.
