Plumbing & Heating Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for my client, a fast-growing family-run Electrical & Mechanical contracting business.

Due to the company’s successful expansion, they are looking for a well experienced Professional Plumbing, Heating & Gas Engineer to join their team. The successful Candidate must have at least five years of experience within the Residential Plumbing sector and preferably with Commercial experience as well.

You will need to hold Gas Safe accreditations in the relevant area (gas fires, cookers and hobs, central heating boilers, etc.) and be registered on the Gas Safe Register. Experience with boiler installations, repairs and maintenance, fault diagnosis, Gas Safety Checks, Bathroom installations and general plumbing, heating and gas works and Unvented HW Systems would be ideal.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1 Saturday a month

Plumbing & Heating Engineer Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, boilers, UFH systems, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in residential and commercial structures.
• Install, diagnose, repair and/or maintain heating systems.
• Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
• Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
• Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used.
• Produce Gas Safety Certificates and Boiler & Heating System InstallationCertificates/Reports
• Formulate quotes for installation and maintenance works, provide materials lists and identify products for installation. Update office via PDA with works completed, follow on works, quotes, materials, etc.

Plumbing & Heating Engineer Qualifications:

• Five years in a similar role
• Gas safe Registered (CCN1 achieved)
• Domestic heating
• Cookers and fires desirable but not essential
