This is a rewarding and exciting role to join our Policy and Campaigns team in Northern Ireland in our Belfast based office. You will be working to make a real difference to blind and partially sighted people through the operational campaigning activities that of which you will be a part.
As the Policy and Campaigns Officer you will work on implementing the Policy and Campaigns action plan, working through co-production and co-design with blind and partially sighted people.
You will be working alongside the Policy and Campaigns Manager and the wider team to develop positive working relationships with MLAs, MPs, Department officials and other key agencies to deliver RNIB’s core Policy and Campaigns’ objectives.
In this role you will support the production of campaign and policy materials, briefings, consultation responses and the organisation of campaigning events at a local and regional level.
Who we are looking for –
We encourage applications from those who hold a relevant degree or a similar qualification in public affairs, and/or social Policy and/or political science.
You should also have experience of campaigning and policy work in NI to include MPs, MLAs, Department officials, NI Assembly, local government, and key decisions makers in any given field, to influence change.
This role also requires you to have the knowledge and understanding of the key issues of concern to blind and partially sighted people in relation to policy, practice and challenges to every day living.
