Due to internal promotion, an exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for a Policy Officer. The successful candidate will have many opportunities to apply their skills and knowledge across a range of policy areas that are important to our housing association members.
The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around 6 million people. You can find further information about the NHF website. 
Key elements of the role:
Flexibility and adaptability are key to succeeding in this role. No two days are the same. You may be meeting with ministers and senior civil servants to discuss key aspects of the Federation’s work or meeting our fantastic members to learn more about their businesses and the environment in which they operate.
Given our current priorities, we are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has knowledge of, or an interest in finance and the delivery of new affordable homes. 
The successful candidate
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of methods used in policy development and influencing.
- Experience of working in a job role supporting national policy development.
- Strong experience of building and developing relationships with stakeholders.
