Plas Menai is the National Outdoor Centre for Wales and is situated on the banks of the Menai Straits, a stone’s throw from Snowdonia National Park and the stunning coastline of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsular. HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE

We are looking for an experienced Swimming Pool DutyManager to join the team to help grow and develop the swimming programme further

You will ensure the highest possible standards of health and safety and customer care within the Centre, as well as contributing, developing and promoting our new and exciting,  leisure programme in order to increase the usage and profitability of the Centre.

You will assume shift management responsibility for the Swimming Pool and Leisure facilities to maximise the total performance of the Centre and maintain the highest standards of customer care.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will work alongside two other Duty managers and the Swimming Teachers and Pool Lifeguards as well as supporting colleagues across the Centre when required.

Reporting into the Leisure Operations Manager, you will manage and supervise the pool staff.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We are looking for an experienced Duty Manager. Who enjoys working in a small but growing team.

it will be desirable that the post holder has a recognised qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Development or related subject.

To hold a current NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) and Pool Plant Operators. A Level 2 Swim Teachers qualification is desirable, however training will be provided if required.

It is desirable that the successful candidate is able to communicate through the medium of Welsh

A Flexible approach to work adapting to the needs of the Centre - this may involve being on call or working evenings and  weekends.
