Are you fluent in both English and Portuguese? Do you have a passion for written and verbal translation? We are seeking a dedicated Translator to support our fee earning staff by providing accurate and confidential translation services via telephone, video conferencing, and written documents.

Role Purpose:
As a Translator, your primary purpose will be to support fee earning staff by providing written and verbal translation services in English and Portuguese. You will ensure the accuracy and consistency of translated documents and assist in maintaining effective communication between our team and our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and confidential interpretation services via telephone, video conferencing, and written documents.
• Quality assure translated documents, ensuring accuracy and consistency of terminology.
• Translate various documents, including correspondence with clients, court pleadings, and evidence needed for claims.
• Attend hearings and pre-trial conferences to translate for non-English speaking witnesses and clients.
• Translate communications between fee earners and clients, both in writing and verbally.
• Maintain a diary of translation bookings and attend team meetings and training sessions.
• Achieve and exceed various targets set by the firm.
• Undertake any other tasks deemed relevant and reasonable by the business.

About You:

• Fluent in both English and Portuguese, with the ability to read, write, and speak fluently.
• Proven ability in written and verbal translation, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Good typing and keyboard skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Clear writing style with impeccable spelling and grammar.

Pay: Up to £26,000.00 per year
