We are looking for a PBS Practitioner to join a fantastic Positive Behaviour Support Team in Corby. Our client provides 24/7 specialist adult care in community settings with an aim to deliver support that enables individuals to develop and improve their quality of life.

The role will cover a number of services in the Northampton area.
You will need to have a full UK driving license for this role to enable travel between services.
The ideal candidate will use their expertise to support predominantly in the following areas:
- Development and implementation of Positive Behaviour Support Plans including Functional Behaviour Assessment
- Practice Leadership and Practice workshops
- Incident support, analysis and colleague debrief
- Staff training & development
Qualifications:
- Hold a formal qualification in: or Positive Behaviour Support ie BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, MSc Applied Behaviour Analysis, MA or MSc in Autism Studies, PBS Graduate Diploma, PBS BTEC Level 5 (advanced professional Diploma)
- Be qualified or willing and able to work towards PROACT-SCIPr-UK Instructor
In addition, the candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Person centred beliefs, values and attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- An in depth understanding of the principals of Positive Behaviour Support and Principals of Applied Behaviour Analysis
- A history in conducting behavioural assessment and developing, implementing and evaluating interventions for individuals
- A history of direct support experience with people with a learning disability and/or Autism, and behaviours of concern
- A history of reducing the use of restrictive practices
- A history of the delivery of Positive Behaviour Support training
- Excellent record keeping and written skills including report writing
- Detailed understanding of the legal frameworks and policy relevant to the role, eg Mental Capacity Act (2005), DOLS, Safeguarding, risk management
