Our reputable client, a charity, not for profit organisation, are recruiting a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner (PBS) to join their team in Lancashire. This will be Supporting Children and Young People with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Behaviours that challenge.

The Role

  • The role is on a 1:1 basis with the aim to increase the Child/Young Persons quality of life through using Positive Behaviour Support strategies and interventions.
  • The Child/Young Person you will be supporting will be living at home, going to a local school and remain in their community.
  • You will be supported by a Senior PBS Practitioner to deliver the highest quality and standards of Positive Behaviour Support to Children/Young Person, their family members and a range of other professionals.
  • Key work with one Child/Young Person delivering PBS interventions in their home, school, in the community and other service settings.

Key Skills Required

  • You must have experience of working with Children and Young People with Complex Needs and Behaviours that challenge.
  • A willingness to undertake PBS specific training and have a good knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding specifically for people with increased vulnerability.
  • Full training and support will be provided on Positive Behaviour Support for the Senior PBS Practitioner.
  • It is essential that you must hold a full UK Driving Licence and you will need to be prepared to travel across the Lancashire area for this role. Mileage for travel will be paid for.
