Job Title: Post-16 SEN Teacher Location: Brent Contract Type: Full-time or part-time, until July 2024 Salary: £188.44 to £244.44, depending on experience Start date: ASAP About the schools: anzuk is collaborating with a specialist SEN school in Brent to appoint a Post-16 SEN Teacher until the end of July 2024 (with the potential to extend). This is a great opportunity for someone with secondary teaching experience to grow professionally and develop their knowledge and understanding of students with SEN. The school caters for children aged 4 to 19 with a diagnosis of Autism across two sites. They aim to promote a happy, supportive, sade and fun environment promoting relevant life-long learning. Post-16 SEN Teacher Job Description: Planning and delivering a stimulating and inclusive learning environment, with lessons tailored to the individual needs of students Ensuring that each student receives personalised support to thrive academically, socially and emotionally Conduct assessments to track student progress and ensure tailored learning Collaborate with other professionals including support staff, therapists and parents/ guardians to encourage student progress and independence Implement effective behaviour management strategies Stay abreast of developments in SEN education, incorporating innovative teaching approaches and best practices into teaching The Ideal Post-16 SEN Teacher will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) No direct SEN experience necessary, but beneficial to have knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, and communication difficulties Strong knowledge of SEN teaching methodologies, assessment strategies, and behavior management techniques Commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting the holistic development of young adults with SEN Have the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, showcasing your ability to meet the unique challenges of this group Embody patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a meaningful impact in the lives of students, particularly those with diverse behavioural needs Hold a recent and clear Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check Benefits of this role: Become a part of a school community that upholds strong values, including a clear vision and purpose for education The chance to make a real difference in the lives of students and contribute to their personal growth and success Opportunities for professional dvelopment and career advancement International opportunities in Australia, New Zealand and the United States Share this job with a friend or colleague and receive £100 as a thank you once they complete 10 days work How to apply: To apply for our Post-16 SEN Teacher role, please submit your CV by clicking the Apply button now.
