We are recruiting a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the research group of Dr. Thomas Jones and Prof Ping Lin as part of the EPSRC pilot Prosperity Partnership award between the University of Dundee and the industrial partner Rautomead Ltd. The role is to develop a thermo-fluidic based computational model around the manufacturing equipment (a super- cooler) used in the manufacture of alloys in large volume. Your priorities will include: Essential: You will have a PhD (or will complete a PhD soon) in Applied and/or Computational Mathematics, or a closely allied discipline, with a strong background in modelling, numerical methods and/or simulation studies of fluid dynamics. Essential: You will have the ability to conduct independent research, a developing track record of publications in international journals, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to work within a team towards a common goal.
