Job Description:
As a Post Graduate you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task and complete the work set by their regular teacher. This role is crucial in maintaining continuity of learning and upholding the high standards of behaviour and academic achievement.
We are looking for consistency so in this case you would ideally be available 3-5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during the absence of teachers, ensuring students complete the work set.
- Manage student behaviour in accordance with school policies.
- Support students in understanding and completing the tasks set by their teachers.
- Report any issues or concerns regarding student behaviour or progress to the appropriate staff member.
- Support the wider school community by participating in events and activities.
- Post graduate in a relevant field (e.g. Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, English, Maths, Science)
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom environments.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
