Postdoctoral Research Associate - Statistics For Health Technology Assessment

This externally grant funded post is available immediately on a fixed term contract to 31st March 2027. There may be the potential for contract renewal depending on funding. The postThe Faculty wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Statistics for HTA to support the work of Peninsula Technology Assessment Group (PenTAG). The successful applicant will support statistical aspects of clinical and cost effectiveness as part of Health Technology Assessment projects. Key tasks associated with this role include appraisal and development of network meta-analyses; appraisal of statistical methods used in clinical trials (in particular survival analysis and related methods); and working alongside health economists and economic modellers to develop and refine statistical inputs to economic models About youThe successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and be able to help prepare proposals and applications to external bodies. Applicants will be educated to PhD level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study. Applicants with an MSc plus equivalent experience who are able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes will also be considered.
