ShortList Recruitment are working with a fantastic tech consultancy based in Oxford who are looking for a Power BI Consultant to join them on a fully remote basis.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record with Microsoft analytics tools, a passion for data visualisation and great communications skills.
The Power BI Consultant must have experience in querying SQL databases to a highly proficient level and be competent utilising aspects including (but not exclusive to) joins, unions, sub-queries and temporary tables.
You will have a great skillset in Power BI, creating data models, dashboards and publishing reports in Power BI from a variety of data sources from on-prem/hosted SQL to API and bespoke connectors.
Key skills for the Power BI Consultant to have:
- Highly proficient SQL user
- Power BI expert (creating models, dashboards, reports)
- DAX/Power Query
- Data model design, refinement, optimisation
- Prior experience working for a consultancy
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies (MS Azure SQL, Power Platform - desirable)
- Dynamics 365 Business Central/NAV data structures (desirable)
In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary up to £60,000 (DOE) + benefits, and a fully remote working environment with no requirement to come into the office.
The office near Oxford is open if you wanted to go in, and is commutable from Birmingham, Cheltenham, Newbury, Reading and Swindon.
