Job Purpose
Our client is seeking a dynamic Power BI developer to join them in revolutionising data visualisation and empowering teams to drive meaningful change. As a key player in development and diagnostic dashboard creation, you will unleash the potential of data to push boundaries and amplify impact. Responsbilities:
- Understand business requirements in BI context and designs data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
- Create dashboards and interactive visual reports using Power BI
- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) with clear objectives and consistently monitor those
- Analyse data and present data through reports that aid decision-making
- Workz with users and team members at all levels to translate functional and non-functional requirements into dashboard visualisations and defines timelines to accomplish tasks
- Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models
- Chart creation and data documentation explaining algorithms, parameters, models, and relations
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics
- Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI
- Data warehouse development using Databricks
- Redefine and make technical/strategic changes to enhance existing Business Intelligence systems
- Create custom calculations as per requirements
- Design, develop and deploy business intelligence solutions as per needs
- SQL querying for best results, use of filters and graphs for better understanding of data
- Apply standard development methods covering the full development lifecycle (project preparation, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support) to ensure solution quality.
- Produce Design documentation and reports.
- Ensure that a quality solution is delivered in a timely manner, within budget, and according to the customer's satisfaction.
- Support stakeholders on troubleshooting & access management
Requirements
- Experience working with Power BI and the DAX programming language
- Knowledge of data modelling fundamentals (e.g. Kimball modelling)
- An understanding of performance optimisation in Power BI
- Awareness of Visualisation Best Practices
- Strong knowledge of SQL and Excel skills
- A results-oriented mindset with an eye for detail and a passion for data
- Exposure to end-to-end report delivery
- Knowledge of the various components of the Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Platform (specifically Databricks)
- Worked on enterprise-level report development with an understanding of scalable solutions
- Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
- Excellent analytical skills - with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
- Results orientated with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs.
- Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
- You'd like to work in a purpose-led sector.
- Fluent English.
