Lincolnshire County Council’s Public Health Division has two fixed term Power BI (Public Health Intelligence) Technical Officer position available for 12 months (with a strong possibility of extension).
About The Role
The Performance Management Function has been built with the ambition to be able to view the data from a wider performance perspective looking at what the local, regional, and national datasets are telling us which will enable the Public Health Team to look at whether the resources or the local Public Health Team influencing is making a difference to the Public Health Outcome Framework (PHOF) and wider indicators.
This role will
- Develop, implement, test and maintain reporting databases (i.e. the transformation of primary datasets from existing databases into reportable items) and associated business intelligence software, to facilitate the provision of intelligence.
- Develop and improve use of software (e.g. Power BI, and SharePoint) to design innovative presentation of complex intelligence through new dashboards, images and videos to provide ready and correct interpretation of information as well as resolve technical issues.
Lead on the implementation of automated data processing for public health datasets through the use of technologies such as Power BI.
The post will be line managed by a Senior Public Health Officer.
About You
- Strong PowerBi knowledge and skills.
- Experience of data automation including data processing, reporting and analytical manipulation
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence challenge and chase where appropriate.
- Creative and resourceful with the ability to see an idea through from concept to implementation.
Excellent networking skills, not afraid to approach work with others in terms of the joint projects.
